I have held several positions in the United States which required heavy writing/ editing skills in both the academic and in the private sectors. Of particular relevance is the job I had at Arizona State University in the Information Technology Instruction Support group. There, I spent a lot of time collaborating with project managers and marketing teams for a variety of university departments and conferences. I was responsible for the final versions of conference programs, website content and promotional materials. My work as a copywriter, editor and proofreader were essential. Since I came to Korea in 2003, I have held 3 positions as an EFL teacher at reputable academies in Seoul. In 2004, I designed a writing curriculum for the GwanAk Seogang Language Program academy. Continuing through to today, I teach writing and debate classes to Korean students to prepare them not just to pass their English exams but to be confident and clear communicators.
